Has quick release connector
You attach the headset attachment like you attach a flexible tube. The LED head goes to the head side. The flashlight power unit connects to the extended cord. you can keep the power unit at your belt to reduce the weight on your head. There is a quick release connector built on the cord. When you don't need the head side, you can quickly detach that part, but leaves the power unit at your belt.
When you use the headset attachment with penlight, this picture shows how you can keep everything on the head.
