LED curing lights use one or more light-emitting diodes [LEDs] that produce either UV or blue light. The light is used to cure a wide variety of materials such as inks, adhesives, resins.
The key factors to consider when curing include the light’s wavelength, output energy, and output intensity.
The wavelength should match the chemical properties of the material to be cured. For example, UV inks typically require 365nm or 395nm to cure. Windshield repair resin typically needs 365nm.
Output energy of a curing light is measured in watts. The output intensity of a curing light is measured in watts/cm2.
